Have you been wondering why TBS has opened up a Campus in Evans Head?
Well, we have a few reasons for that and we would love to share these with you.
Local owners and local staff
With Evans Head and the surrounding areas being the hometown of some of our staff, and our own staff being impacted, we know the struggles that the Northern Rivers have endured during the devastating Floods in 2022. We have been there along the way and know how important it is to help the community bounce back and help business owners and individuals get back into the work force.
We felt the impacts of the 2022 floods in our area and wanted to be there for our community
The 2022 floods were devastating and rocked our entire community. The pain, suffering and loss that was forced upon not just ours, but surrounding communities was something that you could never imagine happening. So many business owners and individuals were affected in a big way. Businesses were lost and never to open again, individuals lost their homes and all of their belongings and sleeping in tents and caravans became the new normal.
At The Business School, we want to help you as individuals and businesses to bounce back and move forward when you are ready. Whether you are a business owner trying to get back up and running, or are looking for a new path to upskill and get back in the workforce. We will be here, present in the community to help you with any of your study or career path needs.
We see a need to provide local training solutions
As locals growing up in Evans Head and surrounding communities, we know from our own experience that there is a lack of educational opportunities in this region. People who want to learn new skills or improve their qualifications usually have to travel out of town, with limited transport options, to access training programs. That’s why we see a need to provide local training solutions that are convenient, affordable and tailored to the needs of our community.
We are especially passionate about providing local training solutions for school leavers and our youth community. We believe that they deserve to have access to quality education and career pathways that match their interests and aspirations. We offer courses that can help them develop skills and confidence that will prepare them for the future. By providing local training solutions for our local youth, we hope to empower them to reach their full potential and contribute to the development of our region.

Recognition of Prior Learning:
Have you ever wondered if your previous work or life experience could count towards a qualification? If so, you might be interested in recognition of prior learning (RPL). RPL is a process that allows you to get formal recognition for the skills and knowledge you already have. It can help you save time and money by reducing the amount of training you need to complete.
RPL with TBS is simple. We will assist you throughout this process and when complete, we will ensure that the evidence is authentic, valid, reliable, current and sufficient.
- Apply online
- Upload your evidence. This may include documents, certificates, photos, videos or audio files (we can assist you)
- Your assessor will assess your evidence and have competency conversations with you
- Once you have met the performance criteria in each of the units in the qualification, you will be issued with your qualification and transcript
The Business School can provide you with gap training if there is any evidence that you may lack on specific units. Gap training has an additional cost per unit if required.
