The Business School (TBS) is a registered training organisation delivering accredited vocational education courses in business, leadership, management and social media marketing programs as well as English language courses.

As a trainer or assessor at TBS, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students and help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen field. You’ll also have the support of our experienced team, who are here to help you every step of the way.

Our locations and employment opportunities

Our main campus is located in Campsie, Sydney and is primarily our campus for international students.

Our Evans Head Campus (Far North Coast NSW) provides remote support to our domestic students and a local presence for Far North Coast students.

We also have a presence in Canberra, Newcastle and China with more opportunities coming to these locations in the near future.

  • BSB50120 Diploma of Business
  • BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
  • BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management
  • BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

Trainer Requirements

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong industry experience including a sound knowledge of current VET workplace practices
  • Training and assessment skills and demonstrated experience in the VET sector (Minimum 3 years)
  • Thorough knowledge of the training package you wish to train/assess
  • Commitment to quality education, both face to face classroom delivery and online training and assessment
  • Strong team skills and a commitment to student outcomes
  • Sound report-writing skills
  • Understanding of VET compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Qualifications:

  • Hold the equivalent qualification, or higher, to the one you wish to train/assess
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor or
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:
  • TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A, and
  • TAEASS502 (or its successor) or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B or
  • a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education

Please note that there may be additional qualifications required depending on the training package you wish to train/assess.

Terms

The terms and conditions of your employment/contract arrangement will be provided to candidates selected for Interview. Above Industry award payments will apply to suitably qualified and experienced trainers and assessors. Hourly rates may apply and are negotiable for suitable candidates.
