Brand New Bondi Junction Campus

The Business School is located in the centre of Bondi Junction, a major shopping area and transport interchange only about 10 minutes away from the city centre by train, and only a very short ten minute bus journey from the famous Bondi Beach. This location has the enormous advantage of having very convenient and affordable accommodation. Our premises are only a few minutes’ walk away from Bondi Junction station, a major connecting hub, as well as the Westfield Shopping Centre, making life here very convenient. Bondi Junction is considered an up-market and progressive area of the city, and is very cosmopolitan. Our brand new campus has been expertly fit-out with the very latest in training rooms and facilities.

BONDI JUNCTION CAMPUS

The Business School’s Bondi Junction campus provides students with all the necessities of learning – brand new computers, WIFI, a library, a kitchenette, new classrooms, study areas and well-trained staff.  The campus sits above Bondi Train Station and Bus Terminal on level two of the Meriton Suites. It is across the road from the major Bondi Junction shopping precinct and a short walk away from the famous Bondi Beach.  The TBS campus is a 10-minute train ride to Sydney CBD and has access to all major bus routes surrounding Sydney.

CAMPUS INFORMATION

The Business School has one campus located at Bondi Junction in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. It is conveniently located in the Meriton Suites building directly above the train and bus station with a range of café’s, shops and services in the surrounding areas. It is just 8 minutes’ drive from the world-famous Bondi Beach and is located above the Bondi Junction Bus and Train Station, next to a large Westfield Shopping Centre. Sydney’s city centre and Kings Cross are each a 10-minute drive away.

Each classroom has a smart TV and a desktop computer networked for trainers, air-conditioning, and adequate lighting. Students will have access to 25 laptops and 10 desktop computers in breakout areas as required. All classrooms and workstations are fitted out with the latest furniture. Students will have access to Wi-Fi functionality, photocopiers and laser printers.

Other facilities include a brand-new kitchen fully equipped with microwaves, dishwasher, hot and cold water, coffee machines and tables and chairs.

The Business School courses are designed to be delivered face to face for students and delivered by expert trainers that hold all relevant industry qualifications and experience.

The Business School is committed to delivering high quality services that support students throughout their training and assessment. The Eastern Suburbs of Sydney extends from the peninsula of South Head at Watsons Bay in the south to the suburb of La Perouse. As at the 2016 census, the region had an estimated population of 267,037, being 48.5% male and 51.5% female, with a median age of 35.2 years. The 2016 Australian Bureau of Statistics estimate the average people per household is 2.4. A weekly household income of $2,163, with the median monthly mortgage repayments of $2,900 and the median weekly rent of $580.

Sydney enjoys a sunny climate with mild winters and warm summers, which makes for ideal conditions when exploring this vibrant city and its beautiful natural landscapes.

Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs are famous for glorious beaches and coastal living. Bondi Beach is arguably the most iconic beach in Australia, considered the jewel of Sydney’s relaxed beach lifestyle. Home to one of the oldest surf lifesaving clubs in the world, and the historic Bondi Icebergs, Bondi Beach is the perfect place to enjoy sunbathing, swimming and surfing, with the beach being patrolled all year round.

Other nearby beaches including Tamarama, Clovelly and Bronte will also dazzle you with their stunning blue waters. For more seasoned surfers, Maroubra beach brings great waves – but be aware of rips. Manly Beach, accessible by ferry, offers relaxed seaside shopping experiences. Alternatively, check out nearby secluded Shelly Beach for a taste of adventure.

Enjoy the view along the famous and spectacular Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk and keep your eyes peeled for passing whales between May and November. Around October/November, this coastline transforms into an outdoor gallery space for “Sculpture by the Sea”, the world’s largest public sculpture exhibition.

Bondi Junction is a shopping and transport hub. Located within less than a five minute walk from the business school campus is the famous Westfield shopping centre at Bondi Junction. This massive shopping mall is home to more than 400 retailers, from designer labels, cinemas, restaurants and supermarkets and nearly everything in between.

Large Supermarkets such as Coles and Woolworths are open from early morning till late at night. Convenience stores such as 7Eleven may be open 24 hours. Shops are generally open from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (with the exception of Thursday when most stores will open until 9pm), 9am – 4pm on Saturday and some stores are also open on Sundays. Almost all outlets accept the major credit cards like AMEX, Diners, MC, Visa and some city stores will accept JCB cards. You can also use Maestro or Cirrus electronic network debit cards in most stores.

There is no shortage of amazing restaurants and eateries in and around Bondi, you’ll be spoilt for choice. From beachside café’s, hip bars and burger joints, restaurants and two acclaimed restaurants with breathtaking ocean views, there is something for everyone.

Sydney Cricket ground

The Sydney Cricket Ground is a sports stadium in Sydney. It is used for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 cricket, as well as Australian Rules football, rugby league football, rugby union, and association football.

Sydney Football Stadium

The Sydney Football Stadium, commercially known as Allianz Stadium is a football stadium in Moore Park, Sydney. Built in 1988 next to the Sydney Cricket Ground, it is currently being redeveloped into a 21st-century world class arena, due for completion in 2022.

Chinatown

Located in Haymarket, in the southern part of the Sydney central business district, between Central Station and Darling Harbour. It is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney and is Australia’s largest Chinatown.

Haymarket

Haymarket is home to Sydney’s vibrant Chinatown, with its diverse mix of classic Cantonese eateries, sushi bars and Korean BBQ joints. Market City is a bustling bargain shopping complex with factory outlets and a food court. On the first floor, Paddy’s Market is packed with clothing, accessory and souvenir stalls. Asian street food, crafts and fashion bring crowds to the outdoor Chinatown Night Market every Friday.

Paddington Markets, Sydney

Are on every Saturday from 10am wet weather included. The market has over 150 unique stalls filled with creative fashion and accessories, beautiful smelling soaps and candles and pictures that inspire.

You will not find these Australian designed and crafted products in any shopping mall and many of the products are exclusive to Paddington Markets. Take a look at Paddington Markets international food court or try a selection of handmade chocolates and local bread.

Paddington Markets is a community based market supporting local people passionate about their craft and the local community and has new traders every week and live music every Saturday.

There are a number of real estate agents within close proximity to the Bondi Junction campus if students would like to organise their own longer term rental accommodation. The average price of a private rental in Bondi Junction is $850 per week for a 2 bedroom unit, $1090 per week for a 3 bedroom unit and $1600 per week for a 4 bedroom unit.
